ICEQBS Delivers Customised Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Training for ESAB, Chennai
ICEQBS recently conducted a customised Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSS GB) training program based on CDOV (Concept-Design – Optimize and Verify) approach for the Global Research & Development Center of ESAB, Chennai, one of the leading global names in welding and cutting solutions. This collaboration reflects ICEQBS’s commitment to strengthening operational excellence across diverse industries through practical, high-impact learning.
To ensure maximum relevance and application, the program was tailored specifically to fit Lean Six sigma tools in the Research and Development processes of ESAB to deliver Right First Time products to reduce the development cycle time and cost. A total of 32 participants took part in the training.
The training was structured to create a balanced learning experience:
• Pre-Lunch sessions were dedicated to in-depth theory, covering CDOV, data analysis, problem-solving tools, and Lean principles using Power point presentations
• Post Lunch sessions focused on practical, on-ground application with the help of AI tools and Statistical software for small groups of 5 people. where teams worked directly on real-time challenges within the ESAB operations framework.
• This enabled the students to understand how practically they can apply the tools and concepts learnt in the pre-lunch session
Participants collaborated on meaningful Lean Six Sigma projects, culminating in a rigorous project evaluation and assessment. Their performance showcased strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and the ability to convert theory into measurable improvements.

• Top 3 awards for Exam excellence
• Project awards for 1 Winner + 1 First Runner-Up + 2 Second Runner up teams
